About me | |||||||||||
| No child ever says, "I'm going to be a copy editor when I grow up." Like many editors, I've had an interesting and varied life. I've been everything from dishwasher to Canadian Consul, not necessarily in that order. I first became interested in editing 30 years ago while working as a typesetter. I just couldn't resist making corrections as I typed. I attended Lakehead and McMaster universities and have a BA in Anthropology. After receiving a TESL certificate in 1984, I taught English as a Second Language in Canada, Mexico, and Korea. While living overseas, I edited materials for organizations, governments, businesses, and schools. I was particularly attracted to academic editing, and over the years it has been my pleasure to work with professors and graduate students from all over the world. I enjoy learning something new from every manuscript I edit. Most of the editing I do is in social science fields. I live and work in Guelph, Ontario. |
